An antique silk 49- star flag. Very rare, this flag was only commissioned for one year, 1959-1960. It is original from the period. Flag is tattered and worn. Frame is new, it is made of solid wood and has a warm gray finish with a gold inner bevel. Acid-free matting and UV protective, reduced glare glass. Measures 12.5 x 14.5 inches including the frame.
