A revolutionary era flag known as the “Bunker Hill” flag. A vintage reproduction from the 1970s. Good condition with light patina. The historic Bunker Hill flag is a famous colonial banner traditionally associated with the Battle of Bunker Hill fought on June 17, 1775, during the American Revolutionary War. The red cross on a white background in the upper left canton represents traditional ties to England (St George’s Cross). Placed in the top corner of the flag, the pine tree was a major symbol of strength, independent economic power, and liberty for early New England colonists.
