This is what’s known as a Continental flag, which was one of the banners carried by the American troops at the battle of Bunker Hill. It is often associated with New England with its pine tree emblem. This particular flag dates to the 1940s, is made of silk, and has been preserved under UV protective, reduced glare glass with an acid-free linen mat. Measures 9.5 x 11.5 inches including the frame. Frame is a brown burl wood.
